In 2004, after a dozen years smoking, I was diagnosed with essential thrombocytosis. Leukemia. Incurable. Life shortening. And especially vulnerable to the dangers of cigarettes. I was understandably in bad emotional shape. I was clinically depressed before the bone marrow biopsy, before I took ill and was admitted to the hospital.

II smoked Marlboro reds the “cowboy killers” at a rate of a pack to a pack & a half a day for 30 years. I tried everything to quit, patches, gum, chew, snus, you name it. When vaping came out i had my doubts, but i thought if i can still get the nicotine without actually smoking, I’d give it a try. Vaping worked as weened myself down on the nicotine percentages in the juice. Started with 24mg, then a month later went to 18mg, a month after that dropped to 12, now I’m at 6mg & I’m holding steady. I’m going to stay at 6 till all my juice is gone then go to 3mg, then lower after that till I hit 0mg.
I have been vaping since 2014 , since then I have felt like I have been free of any smell of cigarettes, vaping has helped me breath, smell and taste better. The areas around me have not smelled like cigarettes ever since. I have also started diying juice and have noticed vaping is a lot cheaper. I do not want to ever go back to smoking. Thank you .
